Ubuntu Peer Support
Bridging academic growth with transition guidance, listener circles, and collaborative service.
Empowering Next-Gen Leaders
Moving to a new campus—sometimes in a new country—can be overwhelming. The Ubuntu Peer Support program is our commitment to ensuring that no African student navigates this transition alone. "I am because we are" is not just a slogan; it is the operational framework of our welfare committee.
Transition & Settlement Guide
We offer a practical transition guide for international students covering visa declarations, mobile money registration, local transit navigation, and contract reviews for off-campus housing.
Ubuntu Listening Circles
Mental wellness is a priority. We run weekly peer-facilitated listening circles where students can discuss academic stress, imposter syndrome, and cultural adjustment in a safe, judgment-free zone.
First-Year Mentorship
Every first-year member is paired with a senior student mentor who provides academic advice, career guidance, and general support throughout their first two semesters.
Request Support
Whether you need help reviewing a lease agreement, want to join a listening circle, or just need someone to talk to, our welfare officers are here for you.
